New quick data erasure for US reconnaissance & fighter jets.

According to Data Recovery Labs it is reported the Chinese are currently testing the manufacturing of new hard disk drives by pioneering new coating materials for the magnetic media/platters, involving the development of mixing plastic based materials with metalic alloy even further, in contrast to the current thin layer of Ferric oxide or an Cobalt alloy (Co-Ni, Co-Cr, Co-Ni-W). Apparently they are collaborating with Seagate to test a new method of sub-dividing the platters, the hardware world is yet to see and test. Reportedly, the new HDD design is more robust, providing smoother surface for the head to have smoother fly.
The Chinese have been investing heavily in the hardware technology, this investment has been the centre of the Chinese focus since the US spy plane collided in mid-air with a Chinese fighter jet in the Chinese aerospace and had to crash land on a Chinese island. The Chinese were reported to have scanned, cloned and analyzed every inch of the aircraft component, and managed to have found the damaged hard disk drive and carried out data recovery on the disk containing highly classified reconnaissance data, including data related to the location from which the aircraft took off from.
On the other hand the US has since been investing in research on methods by which computer hard drives are erased quickly. US Scientists at the Georgia Institute of Technology working with L-3 Communications Corp. have developed an old basic technique for quickly, erasing hard-disk drives. The technique is said to be involving the bombardment of negative and positive charges the surface of the platters at random intervals in order to delete any magnetic data on the magnetic platters.
Meanwhile, the Chinese are sparing no efforts to pioneer the hardware technology after realising the strategic importance of this technology both in the commercial and military industry.

IT Services Outsourcing When You Don t Know Everything

IT services outsourcing is what you need to do when, not if, your prospects ask for products and services that you are not able to deliver. Many new business owners think they need to know everything. They fear not being able to offer every service under the sun.

The great thing about the computer industry is that there are plenty of people you can use for IT services outsourcing. When you first start up, your concentration needs to be on getting business. You need to spend time networking and relationship marketing.

In order to have the time to do this you need to rely on IT services outsourcing - there just simply is not enough time for you to learn everything you will be asked to deliver.

Rather than lose the relationship, you want to be able to offer your prospects the services they need. To do this you essentially have two alternatives for IT services outsourcing:

Work out referral relationships with other niche technology providers in your area

Set up partnerships and subcontractor relationships

The quickest and easiest way to set up your IT services outsourcing is to set up partnerships or subcontractor relationships. This is a fast and efficient way to deal with the issue.

Of course, if you continue to get lots of requests for the same type of IT services, then you should probably consider getting the skills to offer it in-house. When there is a large enough need then the time and money invested make good sense. Until that time though, IT services outsourcing is your best option.

Bottom Line on IT Services Outsourcing

Like it or not you can t know everything. When prospects ask for services you don t offer, rather than lose the relationship, look to IT services outsourcing instead. Build referral relationships with other niche IT service providers or set up subcontractor or partnership arrangements. By doing this you maintain your client and leave yourself open to the possibility of offering the service yourself down the road.

Video Games Overview

The gaming industry has been exploding in the recent years as games are not only enjoyed by the young generation. The adults are in on it too. Thanks to the computers, being one of the main contributors to this gaming phenomenon, the gaming industry has been very busy with the race of who is going to come up with the more appealing game to take over the market.
The popularity of computer and video games, as a whole, has been increasing steadily. The average age of the video game player is now 29, belying the myth that video games are largely a diversion for teenagers.
Outstandingly, computer games are becoming more and more popular and widely accepted by all generations. In the recent years especially, the so called "console gaming" has swept the world.
The end of 2005, and 2006 saw the next generation of console gaming in the form of continuing advances in processor technology, graphics technology, design innovation, and even platform specific gaming community infrastructure.
Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft are all participating in this "technology race". The second generation Microsoft offering, the Xbox 360, is powered by a multi-core CPU. The PlayStation 3 is powered by cell processor technology. And the Nintendo Revolution allows the gamer to interact with the game via a wireless motion sensing controller.
Nowadays, some of the most popular are computer games, or sometimes called pc games, online games, consoles games, handheld games, and even believe it or not, mobile phone games.
Computer games are often more powerful than console games because of early market releases of their external architecture and graphics cards. They are played on the personal computer with standard computer interface devices such as the keyboard and mouse, or additional peripherals, such as joysticks.
Online gaming originally began with PC games, but has over time expanded to include most modern consoles. It is now a key feature of modern games, with the inclusion of Internet connectivity in consoles such as the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, and also in mobile phones.
Console games are specialized computers specifically designed to play games of a certain format. The player usually interacts with the game through a controller, and video and sound are typically delivered to the player via a television, although most modern consoles support additional outputs, such as surround sound setups.
Handheld games are played on handheld game consoles, such as the Nintendo Gameboy, Nintendo DS, and Sony PSP. Because they are designed to be played on the go, they are usually small enough to fit into an average pocket (the virtual boy is an exception to this). Due to their small size, handheld consoles have reduced processing power compared to larger consoles, meaning that games are shorter and until the release of the DS, were limited to 2D only.
